Exceptionally clean early / mid-50s Kay all mahogany archtop (laminates). All original parts except for bridge base. Strong glossy finish throughout. Very small gap at heel (barely fits a business card), but joint is rock solid and angle is just fine. More like a little creep over the decades, or some difference in shrinkage and expansion between the different pieces of wood. Fretboard is almost 100% flat, with just a little but tolerable extra relief. Guitar probably spent some of its life ... more

Late-50s / early 60s Kay Catalina acoustic archtop. Birch plywood (crack-resistant) all around, and with classic cheesy ??blonde?? finish and faux tiger striping. All original parts except for replacement non-adjustable bridge. Comes with the pressed aluminum headstock logo and a faux tortoise pickguard in nice condition. Vintage 1960's (possibly a 1965) Kay 6868 Style Leader archtop acoustic guitar stamped "N14" on the inside. I bought this guitar in 2009 and it's been hanging in my home as wall art and a conversation piece since then, but it is playable and has been played occasionally in the last fourteen years.
